The Team AIQinspect is representing the Saarland University, in Germany, with the “Automated Intelligent Real-Time Quality Inspection Exploiting Human-Robot-Collaboration” project.
Their idea: Replacing the human aspect of rivet inspection with an intelligent automated process which determines the quality by classification based on images and physical parameters while riveting in real time. The resulting information is communicated to the operator via Augmented Reality. The proposed solution could make the aircraft production process faster and more efficient.
