IFS announced that MRO Logistics has just selected IFS Applications 10 to support its operations in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and South Africa. IFS will help MRO Logistics by integrating information from its global subsidiaries to provide visibility, productivity, control, compliance, and increased security.
MRO Logistics has more than 1,000 employees worldwide and is responsible for the management and distribution of more than R$ 3.4 billion in its customers’ inventories operating over 400,000 m2 of warehouses. In addition, the company performs the entire process of inventory management for its clients, amounting to more than R$1.3 billion per year.
IFS’s extended enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform is part of a larger growth project, which will see the company double in size between 2020 and 2023, meaning annual growth of over 30%. MRO Logistics is looking to digitize its business models to grow in scale and this requires a robust system to support operations. The company will implement a wide range of IFS software features, including finance, contract management, supply chain, and more.
“IFS Applications will provide the resources and integration necessary to offer added value to our customers, who operate in complex industries such as mining, railways, electrical distribution, telecommunications, steel, sugar and alcohol, among others,” said MRO’s Logistics commercial director, Marcelo Lara. “Our goal is to activate the potential for operational and financial efficiency and optimize our clients’ assets, extracting maximum value from activities that are often considered a burden for organizations. IFS will help us ensure total operational control, increased productivity, parts traceability, and access to real-time data for improved decision making.”
“The key factors in our decisions were the flexibility of implementation, the completeness and flexibility of the solution,” Lara said, commenting on the reasons for selecting IFS Applications.
Lávio Falcão, IFS Country Manager, Latin America, added, “We are very pleased to welcome MRO Logistics to our vibrant Brazilian customer community. IFS Applications 10 is a modern platform and will allow MRO Logistics to take the next step in its digital transformation journey. Leveraging IFS’s open architecture, the company is ready to connect its business to intelligent tech such as internet of things (IoT). The groundbreaking and intuitive IFS Aurena user experience will help MRO Logistics employees engage with the business and help connect people and processes to a modern digital backbone.”
The implementation project has commenced in Brazil and will cover all sites in Chile and South Africa, by the first quarter of 2021.
