Universal Avionics Introduces Mobile Demonstration Unit

The Universal Avionics (UA) immersive Mobile Demonstration Unit (MDU) is now on the road. The company’s new demonstration platform brings its products directly to customers. The first event was scheduled for late July 2020 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Teaming with Authorized Dealers/Integrators and FBOs across the United States, UA is hosting live, on-location demonstrations of its most innovative avionics solutions in a comfortable, private, and socially distanced setting.

The company says their MDU delivers personalized on-site, one-to-one demonstrations of the latest technologies available for aircraft today including Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV) for improved safety; Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) to fly head-up and overcome extreme weather and low visibility; Data Communications for simplified communications and access to preferred routing; Integrated Display System to streamline flight deck operations; and Interactive Synthetic Vision System (i-SVS) for a ‘head-up, head-down’ flight deck solution with an innovative gaze-control concept.

“The Mobile Demonstration Unit is further evidence of Universal Avionics’ continuous drive for innovation,” said Marc Bouliane, UA vice president of Business Development, Marketing, and Services. “Our team reacted swiftly to this year’s unfortunate events and developed a fully portable demonstration system,” he added. “Visitors will be able to experience firsthand our newest products, confident that we are simultaneously ensuring their wellbeing.”

UA continues to closely monitor COVID-19 and the company is following the current guidance set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and any local requirements set forth by the state / county health departments. All guests entering the MDU must adhere to UA’s safety plan, which includes requirements for facial masks, social distancing, and the completion of proper cleaning and disinfection protocols.
